Baggage tag|The luggage tag of the future will look like this

Dropping luggage at the airport, affixing a self-adhesive printed bag tag, and then expecting the bag to reappear at the destination airport is all too familiar to air travelers. However, with the development of mobile internet technology and the investment of new technologies by airlines, coupled with the widespread promotion of self-service, this baggage check mode is about to change.
The passive electronic luggage tag (ElectronicBag Tag: EBT) launched by China Eastern Airlines this time is based on a radio frequency power-taking chip, combined with electronic ink display technology, which can digitally display the passenger's flight information. The electronic luggage tag will look like traditional luggage. The bar code is displayed like a card, making it compatible with existing infrastructure. China Eastern's passive electronic luggage tags can be used repeatedly, are not easy to be damaged, and follow passengers permanently. At the same time, because they have no batteries, they are safer and more reliable.
From July 10th to July 28th, China Eastern Airlines will conduct passive electronic luggage tag operation tests at Shanghai Hongqiao, Pudong Airport, Beijing Capital, and Beijing Daxing International Airport. Carry out comprehensive tests on the safety, performance, emergency response and other aspects of passive electronic luggage tags, carry out data analysis and further optimization work, and fully prepare for external tests. It is expected that at the end of July, China Eastern will start an external test in Shanghai, and passengers on China Eastern's Beijing-Shanghai route will have the opportunity to be the first batch of "early adopters".
